Cannot remotely administer MySQL installed on Windows 7
I have Windows 7 Professional on Dell Vostro 230.
I installed MySql Server (mysql-5.1.52-winx64.msi) into MySQL directory. Configured MySQL and imported my app's database using MySQL Workbench.
I would like to remotely manage MySQL but cannot get MySQL Administrator on remote computer to connect.
I keep getting
From remote computer, I tried 'telnet [mysqlHost] 3306' but connection failed.
Research on question has gotten me nowhere.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

The computer came preinstalled with TrendMicro Antivirus.
I checked the firewall settings but couldn't find anything.
So I uninstalled TrendMicro and installed the 64-bit client installer for Symantec Endpoint Protection, everything cleared up.
Thank you for your help.
