I have a file called project_help.exe
when you click on the file, it prompts for a password. I enter it, and it opens in the format of a Windows Help File. All of my clients data is in this file.
How do I edit it?

thanks in advance.

What type of file is this? exe is the executable file, you can not edit this, as you said your client data is there in this..then it must be some other format like .xls,.doc, .pdf etc..try to rename it to other format and try.

I renamed it to .doc and .xls and got the following error messages:

word cannot start the converter msvrd632.wpc

excel error:
run-time error '53'
file cannot be found

When I click on the properties here is where it gets interesting:

General Tab:
Type of file: application
Description: Help & Manual Multimedia Viewer
