I am using Trixbox CE as a bridge tied to a remote network. I want to change the voice mail but unsure on how to do that. I current have a did number I call that is connected to the trixbox. Wen I call the number I am presented with a greeting that I would like to change.  Any ideas on how to do that?

Is the greeting a voicemail greeting or an announcement? If it is a voicemail, you should be able to dial into the voicemail and change the greeting. If it is an announcemment you will have to record a new one.

Sorry I wasn't that clear while typing on my phone. I was trying verify that this was a voice mail greeting that you wanted to change. Assuming this is a voice mail greeting you want to change and that you are using the built in Comedian Mail, dial your voice mail access number, enter your mailbox number, your password and select 0 for mail box options. From here you can select to change your unavailable greeting, your busy greeting, your name and your temporary greeting. To record a temporary greeting, press 4. You will then be given instructions for recording the message. Once you have recorded the message you will be asked for an expiration date. Then the system will use this temporary greeting until that date.

Hi This is not the mail box number I have figure that out, its the main number, we have a number from DIDFORSALE that's connected to the trixbox, when you call that number, you get a greeting with instructions, that's the greeting I want to change. I see it under  System recordings,
I have the following

Add recordings
Built-in recordings
My Greeting

I click on my greeting and I have the option to play it, delete it etc

I want to change it

is there some combination I need to use?
Thanks

Record a new one. You can either use your computer to record one and then upload it or if you have a phone on the trixbox you can enter the extension number to record a new one. If you record your own announcement, be sure the software you use will record the audio in a 16 bit, 8,000 sps, mono. Windows Sound Recorder will work. You can then upload it to the System Recoding age. Once recorded go to the Announcements tab. Find your announcement here and change the recording to the name of the new recording. This will change the message.
