Problems using Powershell and Active Directory?

Managing Active Directory does not always have to be complicated.  If you are spending more time trying instead of doing, then it's time to look at something else. For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why

Ok break it down a couple of steps - is autodiscover installed & functioning at an Exchange level first?

Can anyone / has anyone ever been able to connect via autodiscover

Hang on - just noticed that.

You browse to https://address.com/owa and get the autodiscover error?

Url: https://generic.site.biz:123/owa/auth/error.aspx
User host address: xxx.xx.xx.xxx

I just found out what I did. I am a dummy

The authentication type specified on the OWA virtual directory was set to Anonymous.

It is working now

Thanks for the help

Sorry I understand now.

I'd remove and recreate the OWA virtual directory:

From the Exchange Management Shell:

Get-owavirtualdirectory

Should return something like owa (Default Web Site) <-- the bit in brackets may change if it's not on the <ahem> default website for any reason.

Remove-owavirtualdirectory "owa (Defualt Web Site)"

Accept any prompts

New-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion “Exchange2007¿ -Name “owa (Default Web Site)”

Give it a try on your URL

Once we've cracked this, I'll ask a mod to obfuscate your address & domain details. :)

Just the commands, in sequence:

Get-owavirtualdirectory
Remove-owavirtualdirectory "owa (Defualt Web Site)"
New-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion “Exchange2007¿ -Name “owa (Default Web Site)”
