Mouse pointer does not change to hand on thumbnail + odd white block

Just added a WordPress NextGen Gallery based on my own template at http://tinyurl.com/328peho. Looks and works peachy in FF and Safari/Chrome but in IE7 the mouse pointer does not turn into a hand even though I can click the thumbnail. In IE in general an odd white block turns up on hovering over the thumbnail. How can I remedy this?

Will try that. But why does the title block (in white) show up in IE7 and not in FF? I think it is because FF does not show an empty title tag and IE7 does...

title="<?php if (!empty($image->description)) {echo $image->description;} ?>"

Open in new window

does not help and IE7 still shows empty title blocks with white backgrounds.

All fixed and thanks for the cursor:pointer CSS
