Is user subscribed to my app?

Hi all,

I'm working on a facebook app and I know how to add a subscribe button but what I need to know is how do I check (in code) if
the user is acually subscribed to me application?

I'm not conversant in Facebook Apps, but the general design pattern is to require some kind of registration and login authentication.  Then you can cookie the browser to remember the client for as long as you want.  Your code can "remember" a returning client from the cookie, and can re-authenticate whenever you need to make an important change to the data model (or use money) by just asking for the password.
