Windows 2008 R2 With SharePoint 2007
BizTalk 2006 running on a different server
BizTalk will deliver scanned documents to a SharePoint Document Library.
I installed the SharePoint Adapter on the SharePoint Server and setup BizTalk to run with it’s own application pool but using the same account as the SharePoint Web Application in which the document needs to be placed.
With this configuration I get the nice error message “.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Access is denied”.
When I change the BizTalk adapter to use the same application pool as the SharePoint Web Application everything starts working smoothly.
Do I need to make extra security modifications to allow the Biztalk adapter to run in its own application pool?
The ComException seems to point to a problem with the account to initiate a COM component, but since is same account for both Application Pools I’m unsure to what it means
So to sum up my problem why does it work when I use the same application pool, but not when using a different pool
Set the default impersonation level to delegate for the computer but apparently it must be left as identify for server 2008.
