What is the proper location to copy a new image to a 4507r switch? Bootflash?
I am upgrading one here this Sunday.

Any special considerations/advice?

Thanks

The image is transfered with the copy command with either ftp or tftp.

copy ftp: bootflash:

The most important things to verify first:
1) read the release notes for the new image.
2) Check system requirements. Does the new image fit on bootflash? Do you have enough ram? Is it compatible with all line cards and modules installed?

Good luck!
