we have our own DNS server and I am not sure how to do this.

I was told to create TXT DNS record for Domainkey.
abc2010._domainkey.listserv.abc.com

with text data

v=DKIM1; k=rsa; t=y;
p=MFwwDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEBBQADSwAwSAJBALWtlYIDVFiCoxmZ9ne7kekhqR3sG49LJ4DAA7kB
3E8tOZDRRmQ2fZNaa+Yus0ShZACMyVJzqo+XwhbNmRqmUf8CAwEAAQ==

listserv.abc.com is not in our DNS list so DO i have to add one?

thanks

This needs to be added to your public DNS servers, which are hopefully not the same ones used for your Active Directory. It sounds like you are trying to add it to the DNS servers that are part of your internal network, and those are not the DNS servers you need to modify.

It's whatever public DNS you currently have. It's normally associated with either your domain registrar or your website hosting provider. To see the public DNS servers associated with your domain, go to the link below and do a query on your domain. It will show you your DNS servers, and any TXT records associated with your domain as well.
