I having a problem connecting router R0 and router R1 via serial connection, how do I resolve?  There is the error I receive when attempting setup the serial connections between them and also the config of the WIC's on each.

Any ideas?

Hi ,
right click the router go to configure --> slots then there will be a drop down menu there you select NM-4t click apply and ok. Now you have added four serial interface to the router. You should connect the serial interface of one router to the serial interface of the other.  you cannot add serial interface to the 1700 series as there is no slots in it.
