When you put a public calender in you favorite it will show up as extra calender in Outlook.
But sometimes it wont show up.

When you go to the folder favorites in the public folders the calender items becomes yellow. It looses it's connection to the public calender.
The calender wont show up anymore as a other calender.

The only thing to fixed this is to remove the public folder favorite and add it again. When you do this the calender will show up as other calender.

Does anybody know why the favorite will looses it connection? And therefore will not show up as other calender in outlook?

The clients connects trough HTTPS RPC to the Exchange 2003 SBS server and uses Outlook 2007.

This is a common problem with Outlook 2007 that's due to the Outlook.xml being corrupted. This file is saved on closing Outlook and if Outlook is not closed gracefully this file can easily become corrupt. Check out this article for a workaround and simple restoration of the calendars.
