COREL X4 Issues with opening some CDR files.

We use COREL X4 |  there are some CDR files that will take forever to open.   They are about 70-100mb files.

We store everything on a NAS server.  All devices are connected to the network @ 1gbs.

We recently switched from 1 Brand of NAS to Another.  Most other files will open almost immediately.

Is there any settings that can be adjusted within COREL that will help with opening files.

The delay in opening the CDR files from a network could be due to your
network connection or your local machine or the COREL software.

Suggest you should download this files to your local machine and test.
If the files can open quickly, it could mean there it is a net work issue.
If you cannot open the files at the local machine, it could be an issue with
the file itself.

I should have added that piece of information.  We did copy the file down to the local pc.  It opened in 15 seconds.

However, we have lots of files stored on the NAS and these seem to be the only ones that we are having an issue with.

Any other thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Since you are able to open the files locally  in 15sec.
Corel settings are not a issue.

You mention your network is connected with a 1Gbs connection, is it possible to test how long the 100M takes to transfer from the NAS to PC?

Before the switch over to the current NAS were the files accessed  with speed?

Just guessing... could there be any settings at the NAS which need to  be set.
