Windows 7 cannot see Webcam Driver
I have a HP Compaq 710b on which I am running windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.
The laptop does not have a built-in webcam and I am trying to install Microsoft LifeCam VX-700.
Previously I tried to install a logitech webcam - the installation was unsuccessful so I remooved it (or so I thought)
My laptop will not see the MS Lifecam driver.
I have tested the webcam on other computers running XP and it works perfectly.
I have researched the problem as best I can and it seems that the old logitech driver may still be present and blocking the new MS driver.
The question is how do I remove or otherwise negate the logitech driver.
I hesitate to fiddle around in the registry in case I end up with a far bigger problem that I have now

Once I had steeled myself to go into the Registry everything was fine.
The Instructions were simple and explicit.
many thanks
