Windows UPS configuration Error

Hi
Trying to setup UPS in Windows XP SP3.  Selected manufacturer APC and port fine.  Under the configure button, I have ticked the box 'When the alarm occurs, run this program:', but when I press the 'Configure' button nothing happens and I cannot select a program...
Maybe something is missing from the registry as I had to uninstall APC software.

thanks

James

Had been using the APC software but it wont run the .vbs I wrote, that I need to shutdown my callmanager software.  Therefore trying another route, of Windows preintstalled UPS setup, so that 2 mins after running on battery, laptop runs VB script to SSH onto CallManager and shut it down.

Is it a COM1 or USB connection and does the USB option appear as an available connection?

I could run a CMD file no problem, but any .vbs the .cmd referenced did not run.  Was running the service as a full admin.  It rran fine from the command line, just not from powerchute.

My continued work on this resulted in the discovery of the root cause of the problem.
