L5-20 and L6-30 interoperable?

We currently have a 24plug power strip plugged into a 20A circuit with a  L5-20 plug. We are rearranging the rack in order to better utilize the space. We'd like to buy two 1U 10xplug rack mount power strips(pdu).

I'm trying to find a splitter for the L5-20 plug to two L5-20 plugs but I'm only finding one off brand one here.

I have found Tripplite offering a L6-30 splitter and the plug _looks_ the same, but thats as much as I've been able to confirm so far. Could this be used to split a L5-20?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not sure why you'd be changing genders from L5-20P to L5-20P ?  More sensible would be to change from plug to receptacle (P to R).

L5 will not fit into L6.  Nor wil L5-15 fit into L5-20...whatever your plup(P), you must have the mating receptacle(R).  You'll find good images for comparison at McMaster.

My first choice would be to wire the electrical circuit properly, rather than split a single-purpose circuit.  It was wired that way to prevent overload and provide a 1-to-1 shut off in case of problems.  One breaker takes out one section of equipment.

Here is an L5-20P split to 2x L5-20R.  I've not used this supplier, but it popped up with a Google search:  http://www.stayonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=12951
