Hi Everyone

HP probook 6650b downgraded to windows xp sp3.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=nz&prodNameId=4174173&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=4174258&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093#11318

Using power the brightness is fine but switching to battery drops the brightness so much you can hardly see what is going on. The touchpad slider bar also doesnt work even though I installed the synaptics driver.

I have installed just about every utility and driver update on HPs site but the hotkeys just doesnt seem to enable to increase the brightness

Is there a way to prevent the brightness decrease?

Thanks for your help in advance

Look in your BIOS for brightness when laptop is on battery power.

all so on your power profiles the should be a place to set the brightness when on battery.......
