I'm trying to find a way to have PHP download the .flv from a Youtube link. I have seen numerous tutorials using  the "get_video" technique but I have had little success, so it has lead me to believe this is deprecated. Can someone point me in the right direction to get this going?

That uses the "http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=" I can't seem to get this to work. Does anyone know if it's been removed?

YouTube does not want people to download videos but people still want to do it. Over time they changed the ways videos are served, so solutions of the past do not work.

Here is an article to explain YouTube video download methods in PHP that work nowadays.
