On a mailbox cluster environment, on the active node the ms exchange services should be started and running but how should be status of the ms exchange services on the  passive node.

My exchange mailbox cluster keeps changing to another node and i have to start services manually.

Please tell me how should be these services been configured, manually or Automatic?

On both nodes, the following Services should be Automatic:
Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology
Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission
Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Assistants
Microsoft Exchange Replication Service
Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer
Microsoft Exchange Service Host
Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search

On both nodes, the following Services should be set to Manual:
Microsoft Exchange Information Store
Microsoft Exchange System Attendant

The Cluster will control The IS and SA services.  It should automatically stop it on the Passive node and start it on the Active node.

Microsoft Exchange Monitoring will depend on if you are using Exchange monitoring services.
