What patching you are talking about?
Are there any configuration changes to the RAC cluster?
If it is RDBMS patching, i would go with the following:

1. tar ORACLE_HOME on each node separately to a shared disk with node_name being part of the tar bacukp.
2. Check whether the patch is a rolling patch or not using the following command.
opatch query -all  | grep rolling
3. Shutdown entire RAC DB
4. cd to the directory, where you unzipped your patch
5. apply the patch node by node using the command.
opatch -apply -local
6. proceed to the next node, once you are done with one node

What do you mean by rolling patch. I need to apply CPU and PSU patch for RAC databases

rolling patch is applying the patch to node by node.

So for both CPU patch and PSU patch we need to apply on all the nodes. I thought we need to just apply on one node only. so for CPU patch and PSU patch for RAC, do we need to first apply software patch CRS patch than Database patch. please correct me and let me know what exactly I need to do. I really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance

if it is a .sql file, that need to be run only once per database.
node does not play a role there, unless you have that database configured only on few nodes in the RAC, but not all.
