Print spooler logging server 2008 x 32 bit
Hi there,
I have server 2008 ent edition running TS web access on terminal server. From time to time the print spooler service craches and it removes all printers from this server resulting in users not being able to print or see the printers at all on this server. I was wondering if there was any diagnostic logging which I can enable under 'computer, manage, event viewer, application and services logs, microsoft, windows,.......at the moment I cannot see any print service folder here may be I have to enable it?).
At the moment I can see event 1000 ' Faulting applicaiton spoolsv.exe, version 6...............'
Help plz

On server 2008 cleanspl generates error 'you are running NT version 6, cleanspl is good for NT versions 5 or 4'. Is there any other way I can clean spooler and delete all drivers and clean install all my printers. Its a server 2008 x32 bit. and I have Canon iR printers.
Thanks

Ha! OK, I find that cleanspl has been discontinued for server 2008 and R2. It has been replaced by a print spooler reset utility / fixit tool that is supposed to be at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2000007 but I can't get this link to work. Microsoft have recently changed their KB articles to a 7-digit numbering scheme and something seems to have gone wrong.
I'll continue to Google about for the correct URL but you could have a go, too.

I just need the commands for server 2008 to simply clear printer drivers, clears printspooler registry settings, So that I can re install all the fresh drivers.
Thanks
Thanks
Try this one: http://download550.mediafire.com/ak0s6gyh82wg/nmjjmyldyky/FixPrintSpooler.msi or serach for other places to download FixPrintSpooler.msi which is what Microsoft call their updated package.

However, HP have recently been storing their print driver software elsewhere than standard so cleanspl.exe may not help if HP printers are the problem.
