I have a question about processor choices for a machine that is going to be running a GIS applciation as well as AutoCAD.  We are looking at two different machines, one with an Intel i7 930 Quad Core processor or one with an Intel Xeon E5620 Processor.

I need opinions on the preferable processor choice for this machine.  Any input would be appreciated.

The i7 930 is faster that the E5620. With Autocad another very important part is the video card.

Thank you.  That is what we ended up deciding on.  We knew the video card was a huge factor but I also wanted to make the best choice with the processor as well.
