Instead of trying to convert it to as.net, why not use it as part of clientscript in asp?

Just stick the function in the body of your asp.net file and it should work.

if you decide to change it though, then static html embed may work.

<object width="474" height="377">
<param name="movie" value="player.swf" />
<embed src="player.swf" width="474" height="377" />
</embed>
</object>
