Trend IMSS 7 Email bounce back issue - "could not be relayed" - Relay domain does not exist

Need help!!!!

IMSS version 7 SP1.

Issue:
This only happens to some domains we email out. Users are receiving bounce back error message "The following addresses had delivery problems <email address> Relay domain does not exist". In my delivery logs, it shows attempts with this message "could not be relayed and was deleted, with failure notification email sent.

For which domain or domanis are you getting these errors?

Did you tried sending the email using the Telnet command from your IMSS server?

Also the SP1 came in 2007-11-23 and after that there are certain patches came for your version. Do you have all the patches installed for your application?

For this domain: pantelideswg.com

Telnet result: host.farmerboys.com ESMTP 4.69 We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolictied, and/or bulk email.

Is the rejection on their side? Do they need to whitelist our domain?

Well there is more I have found that the domain you specified either has the MX removed somehow or does not have the MX records. So you mail server (IMSS in this case) is trying to send the email to the A record of the domain which is 67.225.244.132. And this IP address is not configured to send and receive the emails.

From your last post if seems that you are able to send the emails to them.

Check with the users if they are still not able to send the emails or getting errors.

The test was from another site and not from our email gateway.

ok, got the point. But I am correct too.

First they don't have the MX records and second the problem is at their end. They have to allow your IMSS IP address so that they could receive the emails from it.

Ok, i will email them from a different source to add our IP. I forgot to mention that we are able to accept emails from them, but not email out.

This issue was resolved by having the other party add\whitelist our domain and IP.
