Email Problem

When i send certain individuals an email, they get the following error:

This is a content alert notification message. The message indicated below is badly structured and could not be fully examined. Message Status : The message has been placed on HOLD - action required

How do I release the message which has been placed on HOLD? or is it their end problem?

I am guessing (and this is pure guesswork on my part) that they're using either a mail system or antispam system that doesn't like something in the headers of your original email but rather than processing it correctly is then delivering what you see.

It might even be a firewall that's messing with the ESMTP over there. But that is very rare. They tend to block connections rather than screw them up.

What versions of Exchange do you use? What happens if you send a blank email or one with very little detail in it?

Problem definitely looks to be at their end though from what little I can see.

On the face of it, it looks like some kind of antispam message from the receiving end.

Could you check the message header? See if there are any clues in there?

Nothing stuck in your queues? Logs?

Thank you for your response, it not me reciveing the notification message, it is the reciepent who i have sent him the email.

what does badly structured email mean?
