My OS is win exp prof  version 2002 and I have Service pack  3 installed.   I tried to install the above Nero, but everytime it failed.  After the run, it says that the Wizard was interrupted and that the install failed.  Support suggested that I install the trial version, and that too gave me the same problem.  Then support said after the extraction, when it starts to install, cancel the installation, then go to the Nero directory and run the *.msi file.  But there is no Nero directory and no *. msi file.
See also 07/13/10 05:24 AM, ID: 33193012.  I followed that advice and then checked for versions of NET Framework but there were none, and then I ran the link as suggested below.

IMPORTANT: If you have installed previous pre-release versions of .NET Framework v2.0, such as Beta 1, Beta 2 or Community Technical Preview (CTP) builds, then you must uninstall these versions via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel before installing this final release version.

i installed the windows installer and then ran the last link, and it gave me
 the following error :
Error creating process C:\documents\test\local settings\temp\HP000\Temp\ionstall.exe
reason : \windows\system 32\ advpack.dll

Can someone please help to solve this problem.  Thanks.

First start the Computer in safe mode -
Run a virus/malware scan. Some advpack.dll errors could be related to a virus or other malware infection on your computer that has damaged the DLL file. It's even possible that the advpack.dll error you're seeing is related to a hostile program that's masquerading as the file.
after
Try to install the program again (in safe mode)
Check your video card driver as well  that might be related to advpack.dll. If, for example, you're receiving a "The file advpack.dll is missing" error when you play a 3D video game, try updating the drivers for your video card.
Also
Install any available Windows updates. Many service packs and other patches replace or update some of the hundreds of Microsoft distributed DLL files on your computer. The advpack.dll file could be included in one of those updates.

Thanks

in response to r3nder, I did all what u advised and the install failed, when it said that the Wizard failed to complete the installation because it was interupted.
Any other advise please.
