How to solve the timezone issue between webserver and client

Hi All,
I am facing timezone issue. We are using the Java webservices to interact with the db. The fron-end used is silverlight. The java webservice using the calender datatype to return the date. The java webserver is in US. The front end we are using in India. The java webservice which is returning the correct datetime that is available in db. The same datetime while coming into front end its coming with additional time added. How to resolve this. Can anyone help on this?

This is just a long shot, but you might want to consider setting your times to a consistent timezone, like set all times to UTC.  It works for me -- as long as my server has a timezone consistent with the data base we are OK.
