Hi,

I made a software icon in illustrator/Photoshop and used Img2Icons to turn it into an .icns file for mac.

It works perfectly on my mac but is it correct that i need to use the format .ico for windows?

how i would create that on a mac?

Thanks a lot for any help!

There are several free packages that run under Windows.  A quick Google produced:

IcoFX  http://icofx.ro/

For Macintosh, it appears that you'll have to buy a product.  Again, a quick Google produced:

http://www.axialis.com/iconworkshop/

This one is half off until November 30th, and has a free 30-day trial period, so if you're only going to be doing this once, that may be the way to go.
