What I need to understand in this item is how to fill in the blanks. Can you explain something about how to deal with them and the machine language involved and/or a reference about them?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe I have stated this before:  All of your questions seem to indicate that you are taking a class.  You must indicate that in your questions as EE policy prevents us from answering class instructions out right.  You learn nothing when the answers are handed to you.

There is no "machine" language at least not using the term "machine" the way I do.  You are using DFSORT.

You are asked to use IBM's DFSORT to create a report and the instructions give you the details of what the report should look like.

I'm very confused because this looks like the instructions for the issue you are having with another one of your questions: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Languages/Main-Frame/Q_26639603.html
