After installed my 08 server in migration mode, my server started and I got this error,"The Exchange E-Mail Address policy cannot be configured" I found this tech net link and tried applying it.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc626207(WS.10).aspx

After 3a i got this warning in the shell

"WARNING: The SMTP Address Template 'smtp:@mypublicdomainname.com' is invalid because it references a domain that is not an accepted domain.

I look at the warning and then moved on to 3b after typing in that command I got the error, Set-EmailAddressPolicy : The SMTP address template 'mypublicdomainname.com' is invalid because it references a domain that is not an accepted domain.

My internal domain name bna.local is different from my email domain name, how can I fix this?

thanks in advance

you need to create accepted domain and email policy with this domain. This way when you create the user account the email address is applied as per the policy and the accepted policy component will receive emails for this domain.
