I ahve a Phillips tv that will not power on.  It got wet and I suspect a fuse has blown.  I cant seem to find a manual anywhere.

Anyone know where the fuse would be located or have any other thoughts??

Thanks!!

This television is fused, and you can order a replacemnt fuse at http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/philips-parts/television-parts/Model-27PT643R37A/1549/0333100/50022239/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

The fuse however, is internal to the television and is not externally replaceable. This would mean you would have to open the TV to install it.

I do not recommend you do this unless you have been properly trained in servicing televisions.

A television that has been powered off for months can still deliver enough of an electric shock to kill you if you do not know what you are doing. My recommendation would be to take it to a television repair shop, it shouldn't be very expensive to at least have them assess it, and the fuse itself is only 13$.

I have worked with CRT monitors for years as well.  You are correct in that fact and I think you are wise in your suggestion as well.  I think I will take it in and let someone who knows these things inside and out take a look.

Thanks for your input and thoughts!!  :-)
