How can I get a form submit button to gray out once clicked and change to read "Please Wait" to stop a user clicking twice?

add this to it:
<input type='submit' onclick="this.disabled=1; this.value='Please wait...'; this.form.submit();">

Something like:
      <input type="submit" onclick="this.value='Please Wait';this.disabled=true;" />
