GPO limiting Internet Access in SBS 2003
Is there away using a GPO or other method to shut down browsing for particular users?
The 'proper' way to do this is to use a proxy server, that way you can easily restrict access by group, set up white and black lists and monitor usage etc.
Proxy servers range from free - such as squid http://www.squid-cache.org/
to expensive such as ISA Server - http://www.microsoft.com/forefront/edgesecurity/isaserver/en/us/
It depends what your needs are and how deep your pocket is !

Not the best solution, but the easiest to implement
If so, a simple way to do this is to set up a policy which will input a duff proxy address in IE's connection settings.
The setting is stored:
User configuration>Windows Settings>Internet Explorer Maintenance>Connection
Just put any IP address in there.
Then change the scope of the policy from All Authenticated users to a new security group that just contains the users whose internet access you want to completely block.
