Ontology within AI.
Hey all,
I am going to open up one of my previously answered questions again. I've been doing a lot of research in this area, but have yet seem to grasp the concept.
I've been tasked to research and become very familiar with Ontology in the AI area, and then I need to be able to turn that knowledge into something that I can train our newly developed AI team.
Sooooooo, I always come across that Ontology is...."The formal representation of knowledge within a domain". But how can someone with absolutely NO experience understand what is actually means, especially within AI?
Are there any good (elementary style, Ontology 101, Ontology for Dummies) examples that any of the experts here can point me to or explain?
One thing I do understand is that Protege is the leading Ontology modeling application.
Thank you everyone and hope you all have a great holiday season.
