Hi guys,

We have had a sbs2003 server running for a few years.

For a number of reason we are down scaling and going back to using a workgroup.

We have a billion router which all pcs run through.

In this change we need to get our asterisk box up an running again and for some reasons I cannot get it on the network.

here is what ive tried.

- replaced cable.
- tried to connect asterisk box directly to pc to setup static ip but cant get access to it.
- tried connecting asterisk box to router but cant get access to it.

So basic info would be great here as I know im missing something stupid.

Hi, Connect your asterisk box to a console display and check if there is any changes in the ip address. Also check the interface status is up.

If both are ok , you can configure a pc with the same ip range and get access to the box.
