Hi Guys,

we have a grandstream gxp 2020 handset.

After a recent upgrade and re config of the office, we have come across an issue.

When We press the mailbox icon to listen for voice messages, we are unable to select any of the optons (e.g 1,2,3,4)

The voice prompting us to press either buttons just continues.

we are also using the asterisk aa50.

Any ideas would be great.

Please check the DTMF mode on the telephone and the DTMF mode of the peer (extension) on Asterisk.  They have to match.

The three types of DTMF:

1 - Inband - Tones are transmitted in the digitized audio stream.  Only reliable on non-compressed CODEC's

2 - RFC 2833 - Tones are detected by the endpoints and coded into the RTP stream.  Remote endpoint decodes the message and generates the tone.  Very reliable and the most popular standard.

3 - SIP Info - As above except messages are transmitted in SIP Info Packets as opposed to RTP
