Hello Guys,
I've got an excel sheet which looks like this
Device Interface monitored
cisco eth0
cisco eth1
nokia eth0
juniper e2
bluecat e4
bluecat e6
bluecat e8
bluecat Ethernet-Mgmt
bluecat Serial-Mgmt
AS24 FastEthernet0/48 · AS01
AS25 FastEthernet0/1 - CoreSwitch2
AS25 GigabitEthernet0/1 · GBX01-6509-1
AS25 GigabitEthernet0/2 · GBX01-6509-2
I want the output to be
Device Interface monitored
cis eth0
co eth1
nokia eth0
juniper e2
bl e4
ue e6
c e8
a Ethernet-Mgmt
t Serial-Mgmt
AS24 FastEthernet0/48 · AS01
A FastEthernet0/1 - CoreSwitch2
S GigabitEthernet0/1 · GBX01-6509-1
25 GigabitEthernet0/2 · GBX01-6509-2
PLEASE NOTE: I only cut the device name down to show that its merged, I dont want the name to be cut down like this in anyway, I just want duplicate names merged with the interfaces intact
I use excel 2007
Thanks
points go to the macro which could do this perfectly
Oh yeah, I already know that merging cells is evil, but I still want it this way. Thanks
