Exchange 2003 to  Exchange 2010  Transition

Hi Experts,

We are planing for our Exchange version from 2003 to 2010.

Current Exchange 2003 Setup

Exchange 2003 front end server

CCR clustered Mailbox servers

   In new Exchange 2010 we are planing for 2 servers with external  NLB external device.

Because of  tight budgets we have to use same servers for new implementation also .

Please find my implementation plan below ,

1. Down one exchange 2003 Mailbox server node.
2.Install exchange 2010 with  HB, MB, and CAS
3.Connect all the users to exchange 2010 remove exchange 2003 second MB node
4.Install exchange 2010 with  HB, MB, and CAS on second node
5.Configure DAG between both servers
6.Configure CAS array and NLB through external HW device (Kemp etc..)

 

      Any suggestions and help on the plan  will be appreciated
