Convert Exchange 2007 CCR into 1 server with all roles

I have a 4 server Exchange 2007 CCR setup. 2 Mailbox servers, and 2 hubcas servers. I want to convert all of this to 1 server that holds all the roles.

I'd like to uninstall CCR, install the hubcas roles on 1 of the mailbox servers, then uninstall Exchange 2007 on the other 3 servers.

Any ideas on the procedure on how to do this?

I'm currently running a hybrid environment.... Exchange 2010 and 07. The reason I'm doing this is because I have 1 mailbox left on Exchange 07 that I cannot move due to third party vendor incompatiblity with exchange 2010.

I'm wondering if it would be easier to build a whole new stand-alone Exchange 07 server, then move the mailbox over. My fear is that if I build another exchange 07 server, I'll some how mess up the schema updates that Exchange 2010 modified.

Actually I'm thinking it would easiest to install the Mailbox role to one of the hubcas servers, then just move the mailbox over. Thoughts?

Yes you are right. The Best way to go about this issue is to install the Mailbox role on one your HUB CAS Servers and then move the Mailbox over.

From there you would be able to move the Mailbox over to Exchange 2010.
This will save us a lot of time and the hazzale of dealing with the existing CCR configuration.
