IPhone IOS Development Project Problem

Hi Experts,
I am trying to develop application that would take advantage of the IPhone SDK to access and transmit various voices while a call is being answered/made. The voice/sound files are played by the software and triggered by the user and are being transmitted to the person on the other side of the call.

This application basically triggers the sound files to be played for the person on the other side of the call using a specially designed interface.

Based on my research, there is no way to trigger such sound files to be played during a call under iOS. If such functionality can actually be implemented, Would you please help me in finding a solution for my problem?

If such solution cannot be accomplished on the iOS, would you please recommend other platforms that support the feature I need?

Thanks guys,

I believe that the API for calling is private and such app would not be allowed into the App Store as it infringes upon these Private APIs.  This is where iPhone can become closed with what you can do.  When developing, you goal should be to have a self contained application that does not interact or interfere with any other parts of the phone such as calling, SMS, MMS, etc.  Intercepting calls to your application instead of the Phone.app is also not allowed.

I am not familiar with other mobile platforms so I could not help you with alternative options.

Thank you very much for your reply, what you said is kind of like what I concluded after my research within the IPhone API.

I would appreciate if someone would suggest alternative platforms for my project (Blackberry, Android, Meegoo...etc)
