SL Server & Home Sync not skipping Microsoft User Data

The Skip items on my SL server in the home sync tab are set so that it should skip The Microsoft User Data folder.  Yet no matter what i do SL is insistently attempting to back up the 20GB database files within

The user is a mobile user using home sync

Its really driving me crazy!

You need to make sure you're using the correct syntax to skip it:

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data

If that's how you have it may want to delete all of the sync preferences on the user's machine and start it from scratch...also, you can check this thread to see how to manipulate the preferences manually.

Hi Useful thread that thanks. The sytax is correct and MCX preferences should be being flushed by loggin out / loggin in. I have gone into the details section on WGM computer groups and edited the XML data so that backgroundsyncatlogin / logout is dontSync (it was set to sync) the thread you touched had this as a pointer so i wil try that and report back
