Num Lock Key On MacBook Air

Hello,

There is no NUM LOCK key on the MacBook Air. How do I emulate the function of the NUM LOCK key without one?

Is this the same for all Mac laptops?

Thanks!

There is no num lock key.  You use the number keys towards the top of the keyboard.
Some of the Mac keyboard have them, some do not.

Haha! Sometimes when using VM Ware and Windows the numbers don't come out when you press them. On a Mac with a NUM LOCK key you switch it on or off and it works. Can't do that on MacBook Air I've got.
Plug in an external USB or wireless Mac keyboard that has a num lock
Have you installed the bootcamp drivers inside your Windows VM?

They are on the mac operating system Dvd. These will install any apple specific drivers and may resolve the num lock issue.
It's VM Ware not bootcamp....
Apple has discontinued the NUM lock key in the new keyboards, being there isn't much need for it anymore. As ChaS3me stated, if you need NUM lock, then you can connect a different keyboard.
