Photoshop licensing and requirements on Windows Terminal Server / RDS

Hi All,

This may seem a bit crazy but we need to run up to 3 concurrent copies of photoshop on a terminal server for image processing. Photoshop will be accessed over remote desktop but this will mainly be for processing rather than actually altering any graphics.

There are two parts to my question...

1. How can I go about purchasing the correct licenses to run 3 copies of photoshop at once on a Terminal server... will it work?

2. Does any have ideas about a server specification to run such a system where 3 "photoshops" may be processing images at once?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

First you should call Adobe to speak with them about the licensing since no one on EE is qualified to answer questions about licensing since we don't represent the licensing software company. What happens usually is that you need to purchase enough licenses for PhotoShop so if you are going to have 3 users connecting then you need 3 licenses.

Server specification depends on what you are wanting to do now and what you would like to do in the future but with what you are stating now a server with Quad Core and 4GB should be enough.

Many thanks - I have spoken with Adobe and we need to purchase a 3 user volume licence key so that the single key can be used on the server.

Agreed, that server should be adequate and is what I was considering.

Many thanks.
