I have looked in service manager to find out that the SQLAgent$Act7 service was not started and I could not start it manually. I get error 3414

Please help.... do I need to reinstall act or msde or both... will I lose my data?

Can you open ACTDIAG, look at the database list and see if any of the databases are marked as "Suspect"?
