Adobe file missing text - faded text

I have an adobe pdf. I have attached a sample of the area that is not looking right.  Some people can view this fine and others see it the way the attachment shows... Issues viewing with Reader and Pro.. I heard someone saying it could be a issue with Overlays????

When I print this PDF the output is the same as the image... People who can view it properly also prints properly.

Would you be able to share the file? Which version of Acrobat or Reader are you using?
One thing you can try is to change the "Overprint Preview" setting. In Acrobat 9 you can find this under Edit>Preferences>Page Display
The setting is the last one in the "Page Content and Information" box.

I changed the OverPrint preview setting to Automatic and Always ... and I was able to see the text... saved file .... printed and the print job still came out with the missing text.  In the print preview I can see the text missing.

Hit the submit button a bit too fast. Sorry.

When you go into the print dialog, there is an "Advanced" button. When you then select the "Output" category, you can select "Simulate Overprinting" - does that produce a correct printout?
