Hello -

Does anyone know of any classes, programs, etc that I can install on my server or call to merge two video files together, or to convert two video files to one flash video file?

Here's some info:
1. I don't need to worry about the file format that comes in - I can control exactly what I get
2. The one file that gets created can be any common type - for me the big challenge is creating one.

Ideally, I'm planning on doing something like this:

A. User uploads video
B. Video hits my server - gets combined with my 10 second clip (like a commercial for my server)
C. I save one file to my archives, and make that one file available for download.

Any/all help is appreciated!

Thanks!

*Awarding 500 points on this because it's both fun and challenging! Thanks!!

It looks like MING might give you some options, but it is a wrapper.  I'm guessing that PHP might not be the best as it is an interpreted language and would probably be much slower.  I would think that you would be better to pass it through a back end process.  You can use mencoder among other options.
