Distribution Group Exchange 2007

Hi-

I've setup a static distribution group in Exchange 2007 and its not forwarding to its members. I get the rejected email " you do not have permission to send to this recipient" Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

Check the security tab for the distribution group, and ensure that whoever needs to be able to send to it can.

Hmm... there is no security tab.. At least not in the Exchange Admin. Does this need to be a security group and apply security in ADU?

I found the distribution group in ADUC and under its security tab I added the user who has a forward set to this group (which is the only account that sends to this group) and checked 'send as' and 'send to' I'm still getting the kick back email. There is also a contact as a member in the distribution group.

Open Exchange 2007
Go to Recipient Config > Distribution Group.
Right click on your distr.group > properties
Go to mail Flow settings.
Select message delivery
Click properties.

Select appropriate boxes
Accept messages from all senders > Everyone from inside / outside can email to that group.
Require all senders be authenticated > only internal users can email.

Go to email address tab
make sure there is SMTP: groupname@externaldomain.com entry is there and set to bold.

Also ensure that this group is mail-enabled universal distr. group

'Go to mail Flow settings' this is not an option for this distribution group like it is for mailboxes

it actually is enabled- recipient configuration --> distribution groups --> list of groups --> right click on group and enable.. it was enabled
