i have a server which runs oracle enterprise linux running. recently i have found the server is not booting and it gives the error
"Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!"

i have booted in rescue mode and went to
cd /etc
i couldnot fine fstab there

i think root partition is corrupted

please guide
