Install Wordpress on IIS 6 with separate SQL server

Hi Experts,

I'm looking to port a Wordpress blog over from a shared PHP server (running on a subdomain) to a dedicated Windows hosting server (running ASP/PHP) on IIS6. The blog will run from a subfolder of my top level domain. So the URL will go from blog.domain.com to domain.com/blog/.

I have full access to the Windows hosting server as well as a dedicated MS SQL 2005, also Windows. My question is...do I install a light mysql server on my hosting server or do I run the Wordpress database from my dedicated SQL server??

They're both on the same secure network so shouldn't have any problem seeing each other. I'm just wondering if I'll run into any problems using the two server method or whether using one server will be more hassle free?

Comments and suggestions welcome!

Thanks.
