If program errors, keep it running

Is there an easy way if my VB app throws an error to just write that error to a log file and keep the program going?  The reason, is I created a custom exe file that is executed with the task scheduler to run at night, and it process a lot of records and can easily take a hours to run and if there is an error, i just want to catch it and keep it going without it halt the application

Very nice, thank you so much.

I think it would be better to replace steps 1 to 3 (including both second step; sorry my fault) with this. It should result in the same but it is the more elegant and correct way.
