AOL Saved password
Hi,
The motherboard in my sister's Vista Home Premium computer went bad. I moved the HDD from that computer to another, functioning Vista Home Premium computer, created an identical user for her under the OS on the new PC, then while logged in as Admin I copy everything under her user folder on the old HDD (except for any file beginning with NTUser*) to the new new user folder on the new drive.
This has all worked out well. However, her AOL on the old PC was 9.1, and the AOL on the new PC is 9.0, and the Application Data folders are different. Anyway, the issue is she doesn't know her AOL password, and it was remembered in the previous AOL 9.1 login screen.
Does anyone know if the password is somewhere to be found under the old AppData folder for AOL 9.1, or if it is stored in one of the registry hives on the old drive? She can call AOL and have it reset, I was hoping to save her the trouble when I take her computer back.
Thanks,
Bill
